Spring semester of 2026 featured a wealth of post-modern and post-minimalist music to sharpen our singers’ musical skills and expressive range. They succeeded in an expressive and connected performance of Berko’s Sacred Place, a keen and clean rendering of Lang‘s Poor Hymnal, and a glorious collaboration with Eastern Symphony Orchestra performing Pärt’s Cantique des degrés. I’m grateful for the hard work, focus, and persistence of the outstanding students at EIU’s School of Music!
